The Toro de fuego

The must-seen event of the summer in Saint-Jean-de-Luz!

Every summer for decades, the Toro de Fuego has set the Louis XIV square alight several times a week. Saint-Jean-de-Luz is even known to be the city that let off the most in France every year.

During all the summer holidays, on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, it is the same ritual!  At dusk, the Louis XIV square’s light turn off, the music cuts out, and all eyes are riveted on it. A 15-minute show that amazes young and old, holiday-makers and locals alike… and draws crowds every time!
