The Toro de fuego
The must-seen event of the summer in Saint-Jean-de-Luz!
Every summer for decades, the Toro de Fuego has set the Louis XIV square alight several times a week. Saint-Jean-de-Luz is even known to be the city that let off the most in France every year.
During all the summer holidays, on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, it is the same ritual! At dusk, the Louis XIV square’s light turn off, the music cuts out, and all eyes are riveted on it. A 15-minute show that amazes young and old, holiday-makers and locals alike… and draws crowds every time!
A complete evening that allows you to experience the Basque tradition of singing, dancing and pelota.
Every Tuesday during the summer, until 15 September included, you can come and share a moment of Basque culture and tradition with a free show in the village square of Urrugne.
Every Tuesday, there is a different show based on Basque dance or song.
Free show from 7pm to 8.30pm with the possibility of eating out on the café terraces.
